OK, Christmas is over (practically 3 weeks of being off-plan for me) so it's time to put all that behind me and make a new start from this point on.

Of course, tonight was my first weigh-in since Christmas too, and on my way there I was thinking about the previous 3 weeks, confident that I was going to have a significant gain when I stepped on the scales.

Imagine my surprise to find that I'd lost 1/2lb! Mind you, I did have the tummy bug that was going around over New Year, so I'm sure that contributed a little but still, 3 weeks of chocolates, pastries, etc etc is a lot to make up for so I'm chuffed that I've gotten off so lightly!  A friend said to me "this means you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight", which I know from past experience is absolutely NOT true.  The best way for me to continue my weight-loss journey is to get back on the Slimming World plan and STICK TO IT! :)

good to see you back and great news on your weight, sorry about the bug, lots of people give up after a break so well done with carrying on the weightloss journey. I am sorry I do not get to see your daily postings but do enjoy catching up when I can, look forward to travelling your journey with you and thanks for sharing
